NetworkLink.EU User Agreement

Software and Services · Version 3 · Effective date: 7 October 2026

Download agreement · Privacy notice (online)

1. Parties and agreement

This agreement is between Angelos Tsavdaris, located at Dublin, Ireland ("Licensor"), and the individual accepting these terms or the organisation on whose behalf that individual is authorised to act ("Customer"). It governs use of the NetworkLink.EU desktop application and accompanying documentation ("Software"), including sample/demo use, and the NetworkLink.EU website, account registration, activation, licensing and support services ("Services"). It does not grant a licence to copy or operate our server software.

Customer accepts this agreement by expressly agreeing to it during account registration on the NetworkLink.EU website or in the Software before first use. The agreement is available to read and save before acceptance. The Software bundles a local copy, so acceptance in the Software does not require internet access or server registration. Server accounts and paid features have the additional registration and activation requirements described below. A person accepting on behalf of an organisation must have authority to bind that organisation. The order records the purchased user seats, fees, purchase model, duration, licensed edition, included versions, any expressly agreed usage limits and applicable support or update entitlements. An "order" means the commercial terms expressly accepted by both parties, not additional terms in Customer's unilateral purchase order or procurement documents.

2. Licence grant and named users

Without an active paid licence, the Software permits creation and exploration of its built-in sample data. This permission does not authorise AWS or Azure scans or import of snapshots. Access to previously saved snapshots after expiry is described in section 10. These permitted uses remain subject to this agreement.

Subject to the applicable order and this agreement, Licensor grants Customer a non-exclusive licence to install and use the Software for its lawful professional or business activities, including work on cloud accounts that Customer is authorised to administer for clients.

The licence is per named user. Each purchased seat is assigned to one identified individual (an "Authorised User"). Separate people require separate seats; a shared login or taking turns does not turn a named-user seat into a concurrent-user licence. An organisation may purchase seats for its employees and authorised contractors.

Each licensed installation identifier ("install ID") may be activated on only one computer at a time. An Authorised User may hold multiple licensed install IDs and use each on a different computer, subject to the purchased entitlements. Creating an install ID does not itself purchase a licence or grant paid access.

The Authorised User may replace a computer by removing its activation through the server account before activating the replacement. An install ID keeps its identity when its computer is replaced. A seat may not be reassigned or transferred to a different individual. Computer replacement does not permit sharing the licence with another person. Customer may make reasonable backup copies for authorised use, retaining applicable notices.

Customer must not copy, share or reuse an install ID, activation credentials or offline authorisation to obtain paid access on additional computers or for additional people beyond the purchased entitlements. This does not prohibit the authorised computer-replacement process, separate licensed install IDs, reasonable backup copies that do not create an additional active installation, or rights preserved by section 5. After replacing a computer, the Authorised User must stop using paid features under that install ID on the previous computer, even if its offline authorisation has not yet expired.

Each licensed install ID has the shared cloud account allowance recorded in its purchased plan. Each distinct AWS account or Azure subscription uses one slot; connections and regions for the same account or subscription share that slot. The Authorised User may add and remove AWS accounts and Azure subscriptions within the combined allowance. If the combined number of registrations exceeds the applicable allowance, AWS and Azure scans are unavailable until it is reduced to the permitted limit; existing snapshots remain accessible. Changes to plan defaults do not change an existing paid term's purchased allowance.

Paid access requires activation and periodic online licence validation. Between checks, the Software may operate under a time-limited offline authorisation. When that authorisation expires without renewal, paid access is unavailable until validation succeeds. Removing a computer's activation prevents renewal of its offline authorisation; existing offline authorisation may remain usable until it expires. These mechanisms do not grant permission to share or duplicate a licensed activation.

The applicable order identifies the licensed edition, number of Authorised Users and any expressly agreed usage limits. New limits do not apply retrospectively to an existing purchased licence without agreement or as otherwise required by law.

An Authorised User may use the Software to provide professional services to Customer's clients. This permission does not grant those clients Software seats or a right to operate the Software. Hosting or making the proprietary Software available for third parties to operate requires a separate written agreement with Licensor, subject to section 5 and mandatory law.

3. Purchase model, updates and support

Paid licences are annual subscriptions. The applicable order records the price, applicable taxes, subscription dates, shared cloud account allowance and purchased seats or licensed installations. Payments are processed through the merchant of record identified at checkout. Its applicable payment terms must be disclosed before purchase; this agreement governs the Software licence.

The applicable order and checkout terms must disclose the renewal method, cancellation process and refund arrangements before purchase, subject to mandatory law. Automatic renewal is not authorised merely by registering an account or accepting this agreement; it requires disclosure and agreement at purchase.

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current paid billing period. For subscriptions billed by Paddle, use the cancellation link in your subscription email or the Paddle customer portal. Cancelling automatic renewal alone does not end paid access before the current subscription expires or itself entitle Customer to a refund. Access remains subject to the licence conditions and the proportionate restrictions or termination described in sections 10 and 12.

Paddle documents a technical restriction on subscription changes within 30 minutes of the next billing period. To avoid last-minute processing problems, we recommend disabling automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the scheduled renewal time and checking that cancellation is confirmed. This 24-hour recommendation is a practical precaution, not an additional contractual notice period. If cancellation cannot be completed, contact Paddle promptly through its buyer support. Applicable Paddle terms and mandatory cancellation rights remain unaffected.

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days of the initial purchase, subscription renewal payment or eligible upgrade payment for which a refund is requested. Requests are reviewed individually; submitting a request does not guarantee approval, except where a refund is required by applicable law or the merchant of record's applicable terms.

After this period, we do not offer voluntary refunds, including proportional refunds for unused subscription time. Customers may disable automatic renewal; cancellation alone leaves access available until their current paid subscription expires, subject to sections 10 and 12.

The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains eligible latest-upgrade refunds, review of repeated requests, upgrade pauses and the effect of approved refunds on paid access. Those workflow controls do not establish licence misuse by themselves and do not prevent Customer from exercising mandatory rights or contacting the merchant of record.

Nothing in this refund policy limits mandatory consumer rights or the merchant of record's applicable refund obligations.

The paid subscription includes updates to the Software released during the paid term. This does not promise any particular new feature, release date or release frequency, or compatibility with future operating-system, AWS or Azure changes, except as required by law.

Support is provided on a best-effort basis by email at [email protected] during the paid term. No response time, resolution time, availability schedule or successful resolution is guaranteed. Additional services or commitments apply only if expressly agreed in writing. Mandatory obligations remain unaffected.

4. Ownership and restrictions

Copyright © 2026 Angelos Tsavdaris. All rights reserved.

The original application code is proprietary and is not licensed for public use, copying, modification or distribution except under the commercial licence or as required by applicable law. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licences, and the rights preserved in section 5 take precedence over this notice.

Licensor and its licensors retain ownership of their respective Software and intellectual property. Customer receives a licence, not ownership of the Software. Customer retains its rights in its cloud data, inventories, snapshots and exports; this agreement does not transfer those rights to Licensor.

Except as permitted by section 5, mandatory law or a separate written agreement, Customer must not:

  • Sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the proprietary Software to third parties, or provide them access to use it without the required user seats.
  • Host or make the proprietary Software available for third parties to operate without the separate written agreement described in section 2.
  • Circumvent licence-seat restrictions or remove proprietary ownership notices.
  • Modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the proprietary Software.

These restrictions concern the Software itself. They do not prohibit Customer from sharing its own snapshots, reports or exports with authorised recipients.

5. Third-party software and preserved rights

The Software includes third-party components, including open-source software. Those components remain governed by their own applicable licences. Their notices and licence texts accompany the distribution, including Electron's LICENSE, LICENSES.chromium.html and the third-party-licenses directory. Those files do not constitute a permissive licence for Licensor's separate proprietary code.

The applicable third-party licence prevails over this agreement and any order term that conflicts with rights granted for that component. No provision of this agreement restricts rights to use, copy, modify, redistribute or obtain source code granted by those licences. Third-party source-access information is provided in third-party-licenses/SOURCES.md and at https://networklink.eu/documentation/third-party-sources.html.

In particular, notwithstanding sections 2, 4, 10 or any other restriction:

  • Customer may modify the Software for its own use and reverse-engineer it for debugging such modifications to the extent required by the applicable LGPL.
  • Customer may replace or relink LGPL-covered libraries with modified versions, and use the resulting combination, to the extent provided by that licence. No additional licence permission or fee from Licensor is required to exercise those rights.
  • Customer's rights in MPL-covered source files, including access to and modification or redistribution of that source, remain governed by the MPL.
  • Mandatory statutory rights, including applicable rights concerning backup, study, testing and interoperability, are not excluded.

Termination of this agreement does not itself terminate licences granted directly by third-party rights holders. Their own termination provisions govern those licences. Any commercial warranty or support commitment by Licensor is offered by Licensor alone, not on behalf of open-source contributors.

6. AWS and Azure access and interpretation of results

Customer is responsible for obtaining permission to access the AWS accounts and Azure subscriptions it uses with the Software, protecting credentials, selecting appropriate AWS IAM permissions and Azure role assignments, complying with its cloud-provider agreements and paying applicable cloud-provider charges.

The Software is designed to retrieve and visualise AWS and Azure inventory using read-only service operations. Supported resource types and analysis coverage differ between providers. Inventories reflect the services collected, AWS accounts or Azure subscriptions, regions, permissions and scan time. They can be incomplete or outdated because of denied requests, service limitations, changes after collection or other errors.

An "unused", "inactive" or similar indication is an aid to investigation, not authorisation or a recommendation to delete a resource. Customer should verify findings before making operational decisions. The Software is an independent application, not a product of Amazon Web Services or Microsoft; this agreement claims no endorsement by either provider.

7. Customer data and privacy

During periodic online licence validation and renewal of offline authorisation, the Software submits hashed machine, local volume, network-interface and available motherboard and drive serial identifiers, together with readable CPU, memory, motherboard and drive specifications, for investigation of possible unauthorised licence sharing, as described in the Privacy Notice. These observations do not themselves automatically block renewal.

Customer is responsible for its authority to collect and share inventory data, for access to its local files and exports, and for suitable backups. Customer's ownership and lawful use of its data and existing exports are not conditional on renewal of a Software subscription.

Any processing of personal data by Licensor is described in https://networklink.eu/documentation/privacy.html and applicable agreements. This agreement does not itself authorise undisclosed telemetry, advertising use or sale of Customer data. The Privacy Notice describes the personal-data processing associated with the Software and Services.

8. Warranties

Licensor offers no voluntary warranty under this agreement. Except for express commitments in the applicable order and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Software and Services are supplied "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, Licensor disclaims other implied warranties, including merchantability, satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose.

Except as expressly agreed in the applicable order or required by law, Licensor does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, discovery of every AWS or Azure resource, relationship, vulnerability or unused resource, achievement of cost savings or regulatory compliance, a particular performance level on every computer, or compatibility with every AWS or Azure configuration or future service change. The Software is an inventory and visualisation aid; it is not a substitute for Customer's operational, security or compliance assessments.

These limitations do not override binding product descriptions, express contractual commitments or mandatory requirements arising from sales statements or documentation.

Nothing in this agreement removes mandatory consumer protections or other non-excludable warranties, remedies or refund rights.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Licensor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. Subject to the same legal limits, Licensor excludes liability for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data or goodwill; business interruption; and cloud-service charges or resource losses arising from Customer's operational decisions based on the Software's output, whether those listed losses are characterised as direct or indirect.

Licensor's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this agreement or the use of or inability to use the Software or Services is limited to the licence fees actually paid by Customer for the affected licence during the 12 months immediately preceding the first event giving rise to a claim covered by this cap. This calculation date does not reset for subsequent claims within the same aggregate cap. The cap applies collectively to all claims within its defined scope, not separately to each claim, incident, Authorised User or legal theory. To the extent permitted by law, the exclusions and cap apply whether a claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, even if Licensor was advised that the loss could occur.

These exclusions and the cap do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that applicable law prohibits excluding or limiting.

10. Expiry and termination

A paid subscription expires at the end of its applicable term unless renewed. Following expiry, Customer may continue to view and export previously saved snapshots and use the built-in sample-data functionality. AWS and Azure scans and imports of additional snapshots require a valid paid licence. Expiry does not require Customer to uninstall the Software or delete existing snapshots.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, where a material breach is established, including deliberate licence sharing, unauthorised redistribution or deliberate circumvention of licence restrictions, Licensor may terminate the affected licence and permanently disable its associated install ID by written notice to Customer. Immediate termination is reserved for serious breaches where reasonably necessary to stop the misuse; in other cases Licensor will give reasonable notice and, where the breach can be remedied, a reasonable opportunity to remedy it. Any mandatory notice or remedy rights remain unaffected. Exercise of rights preserved by section 5 is not a breach.

For serious or repeated material misuse involving an account, Licensor may also terminate that account and its access to the Services by written notice, subject to the same notice, remedy and proportionality safeguards. The notice will identify the affected account, install IDs and licences. The explanation and review safeguards in section 12 also apply to action under this section. Unrelated licences will not be terminated merely because one install ID is affected; broader action must be reasonably necessary and proportionate to the established misuse. Where terminating an account necessarily prevents use of other associated paid licences, those licences must be identified in the notice and treated as terminated for the billing and refund provisions below. Account-wide termination may be used only where those broader effects are reasonably necessary and proportionate.

Termination of paid access for breach is separate from cancellation of subscription billing. Licensor will arrange cancellation of future automatic renewals for any paid subscription whose licence it terminates. Suspension or termination does not by itself determine refund entitlement or impose automatic forfeiture of payments; section 3, the applicable order, the merchant of record's applicable terms and mandatory law continue to govern refunds.

An approved refund may reduce or end paid access as described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. A refund alone is not termination for breach. Following a refund, Customer may continue to view and export previously saved snapshots and use built-in sample data, unless the relevant licence is separately terminated for an established material breach under this section.

Termination for breach is distinct from expiry of a paid term. Upon termination for breach, Customer must stop using the proprietary Software under the terminated licence, except as required by law or permitted by section 5. Customer retains its rights in its own data and existing exports. This agreement does not authorise Licensor to delete Customer's data remotely.

Sections concerning ownership, third-party rights, liability, accrued payment obligations and dispute resolution survive to the extent needed to give them effect. Survival does not extend terminated paid access; the limited permissions following ordinary subscription expiry or an approved refund are expressly set out above.

11. Governing law and general terms

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland, and disputes are subject to the courts of Ireland, without depriving Customer of mandatory protections or access to courts that applicable law requires.

This agreement and the applicable order form the agreement for the purchased Software. An order may specify the commercial entitlements described above but cannot override section 5 or mandatory law. Additional or conflicting terms in Customer purchase orders, procurement portals or other procurement documents do not apply unless expressly accepted in writing by an authorised representative of Licensor. Merely fulfilling an order does not constitute that acceptance.

Roadmaps, planned features and statements about possible future development are not commitments to deliver functionality or meet a delivery date unless expressly included in the applicable order. This does not exclude liability for fraud, misrepresentation or other statements to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or override binding descriptions of the purchased Software.

Licensor may offer different prices, features, usage limits and terms for new purchases and future renewals. Changes for a renewal must be disclosed with any notice and acceptance required by the existing agreement and applicable law. Such changes do not retrospectively alter the agreed entitlements for an existing paid subscription term. Amendments to those existing rights require agreement by both parties or another lawful basis; posting revised terms alone does not change them.

An unenforceable provision will be limited or severed to the extent necessary without invalidating the remaining agreement. Questions and notices should be sent to [email protected].

12. Accounts and online services

Customer must provide accurate registration information, keep passwords and device credentials secure, and use only accounts and installations it is permitted to access. Customer is responsible for activity it authorises through its account. Contact [email protected] upon discovering suspected unauthorised access and use the available controls to remove compromised device activations.

Customer must not use the Services unlawfully, access another person's account without permission, introduce malicious software, deliberately disrupt the Services or evade licence checks and purchased allowances. Nothing in these restrictions limits the rights preserved in section 5.

The Services may be interrupted for maintenance, faults, security work or events outside Licensor's control. No uninterrupted availability, response time or resolution time is guaranteed, subject to mandatory law and express commitments in the applicable order. Online activation and periodic licence validation are required for paid access; offline authorisations have the limits in section 2.

To the extent permitted by law, Licensor may restrict or suspend account or service access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unauthorised access, material misuse, a security threat or a legal requirement. Where there are reasonable grounds to suspect unauthorised licence sharing or circumvention, Licensor may temporarily block the affected install ID, prevent activation or renewal of its offline authorisation, or suspend affected account access while investigating. Immediate restrictions may be imposed where reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Restrictions must be proportionate to the nature and extent of the risk or misuse, limited to the affected access where reasonably practicable, reviewed without undue delay and lifted when no longer justified. A hardware change, missing device observations, legitimate computer replacement or a refund request alone does not establish unauthorised sharing or material misuse. Device observations described in section 7 do not themselves automatically trigger these restrictions.

Licensor will notify Customer in writing of the affected access and explain the reason before a restriction where reasonably practicable, or promptly afterwards where immediate action is necessary. Information may be withheld only to the extent that disclosure is prohibited by law or would compromise security or an investigation. Customer may request review of temporary restrictions, permanent disabling of an install ID, licence termination or account termination at [email protected], including when account access is unavailable. Licensor will consider relevant explanations and evidence and correct decisions found to be unjustified, including restoring affected access where appropriate. Permanent disabling of an install ID, licence termination and account termination are governed by section 10 and its written-notice safeguards.

Technical enforcement takes effect through activation and periodic online validation. A restriction prevents new or renewed authorisations but may not immediately invalidate an offline authorisation already issued. Its remaining technical validity does not permit use that is prohibited by this agreement or a valid termination notice. Restrictions and termination do not authorise remote deletion of Customer's data or remove ownership, mandatory rights, or rights preserved by section 5.

Customer may request account closure by emailing [email protected]. Closure prevents further activation and renewal of offline authorisations through that account. Account closure and cancellation of subscription billing are separate actions; when confirming closure, Licensor will arrange cancellation of future automatic renewals for subscriptions tied to that account. Closure does not itself create a right to a refund beyond section 3, the applicable order, the merchant of record's applicable terms or mandatory law. Customer retains ownership of its local data and exports. Personal-data deletion and retention are addressed separately in the Privacy Notice; closing an account does not automatically delete every record or override lawful retention duties.

Licensor and its licensors retain their rights in the website, server software, branding and documentation. Access to the Services grants no ownership or right to redistribute or operate that server software. Third-party rights and all mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
